Led by Telma and Adeodato, TerraMater Agroecologia represents our foundational belief: exceptional coffee begins with deep respect for the land.

Since 1992, TerraMater has cultivated coffee through an agroecological approach rooted in biodiversity, responsible farming, and respect for the natural environment. This approach honors ancestral growing methods—protecting native soil biology, fostering regional biodiversity, and allowing the true essence of Chapada Diamantina to express itself in every harvest.

The coffee is grown under shade, within the natural landscape, integrated with the Atlantic Forest and the diverse native ecosystems that characterize the region. This reconnects coffee cultivation with a natural relationship between the coffee plant and its environment, reminiscent of traditional ways in which coffee developed among surrounding vegetation.

More than a cultivation technique, this integration represents a philosophy: producing coffee while respecting the natural balance of the land, preserving biodiversity, and allowing the ecosystem itself to become part of each harvest’s story.

The farm represents a long-term commitment to the land and to producing coffee with care and intention. Rather than pursuing volume, TerraMater’s approach is closely connected to the characteristics of each harvest and the conditions of each lot.
